This incredible portrait may look like a black and white photograph, but it is in fact a photorealistic pencil drawing. Created by 22 year old Diego Fazi, the self taught Italian artist won an award for Best New Artist in 2011 and it’s not hard to see why. tumblropenarts: This a triptych I painted for a show earlier this year.  I designed it such that the pieces functions individually or, preferably, together.  As a whole it is titledHidden Infrastructure Symbolizing an Intentionally Fictional Authorship.  Each piece is over six feet tall and it is mixed media on canvas.
